Nova Biosource Fuels has reported that their biodiesel is already compliant with new ASTM D6751-08 Standard Specifications for biodiesel fuel. The new standards state that biodiesel fuels must pass a cold soak filtration test, which evaluates the performance of the fuel during cold weather. Walmart has announced a partnership with Duke Energy which will supply wind power for about 15% of the energy load in 360 of its stores and facilities in Texas. Ener1 reported today that its subsidiary, EnerDel, has moved to the next phase in its contract with the Department of Defense. Under the contract, EnerDel is helping the Pentagon develop high performance lithium-ion batteries for unmanned aerial vehicles, or UAV’s.
