The company reported an EPS of just .04/share which was well short of analyst estimates of .12 and a more than 50% drop over the year ago quarter. Capstone Turbine (CPST) announced that it has received an order for three C200 microturbine systems for China Southern Power Grid (CSG), one of two state owned power grid companies in China. Gushan Environmental (GU), a leading China biodiesel producer announced mixed earnings results this morning, matching EPS estimates of .01/share which is a big drop from the .20/share it reported one year ago. Revenues came in about 10% lower than expectations at $40 million, nearly a 20% drop from the year ago period.

ReneSola (SOL) Gets Approval For 5MW China BIPV Project
ReneSola (SOL) has received approval to begin a 5MW building integrated PV (BIPV) rooftop project in China’s Zhejiang province which will provide solar energy across five government buildings across 80K square meters. China Seeks 100GW Wind Power Capacity By 2020
China has raised the goalposts for the percentage of its energy that comes from wind power. 18 months ago, the Chinese government set a goal of increasing the country’s wind energy capacity to 30 GW by 2020. Now, they are aiming for 100 GW of wind power by 2020. By 2050, they expect to be getting 40 percent of their power from renewable sources.

A-Power Energy (APWR) has vaulted about 15% in just the past 20 minutes on news it has signed contracts totaling $75 million with subsidiaries of Anhui Wenergy to build micro grid electricity generation systems using biomass as the fuel.
