A-Power Energy (APWR) has announced it signed an exclusive 2MW wind turbine deal with W2E Technologies and will license W2E technology to manufacture, operate, service and sell the turbines within the US and China. APWR will have non exclusive rights to market the turbines outside of China & the US. Financials of the deal haven’t been disclosed. Traders like the news premarket and the stock is up about 4%.

According to this press release, A-Power will be building a 150 megawatt biomass plant in Thailand. The company has signed an agreement with Thailand’s Biomass Electricity Co., Ltd regarding the plant. Under the $86 million contract, A-Power will design the plant, which will be built in Prachinburi, Thailand.
